Meat and bone meal

Meat and bone beal is a dry powdered material that comes from the processing of animal and vegetable by-products by means of sterilisation, drying and grinding.

The raw materials for the production of meat and bone meal orginate from sources such as abattoirs and animal owners.

Many qualities of meat and bone meal can be used as animal feed or fertiliser. Certain qualities must be incinerated under safe conditions, which naturally exist at Cementa's plants. When incinerated, the material is classified as a biofuel.
