Plastic-based fuel

This material comes from households, offices and industry. A large proportion of the material can be recycled and reused, for example newspaper and many plastic products.

Plastic, paper and other materials that are dirty, mixed up or unsorted can be difficult to recycle at present. This material is collected under the municipality's auspices or by specialist recycling companies that qualtiy-assure and grind the materal to create a fuel that is suitable for cement kilns.

To minimise transport operations, the material i usuallly compressed into bales or hard pellets, as they are easy to handle and store. They also create less litter than loose material. Each delivery is checked on arrival against defined quality and safety criteria.

HC Miljö assumes responsibility for quality assurance and for grinding the bales or pellets to create a fuel that is suitable for cement kilns.
